O-Level Equivalence Calculator
Estimate your O-Level to SSC (Matric) equivalence marks and percentage using the IBCC grade formula.
Calculate your SSC equivalence
Select the grade you achieved in each O-Level subject. IBCC requires a minimum of 8 subjects for SSC equivalence.

How O-Level to SSC equivalence works
The Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) converts Cambridge O-Level grades into marks that align with Pakistan's Matriculation (SSC) system, which totals 1050 marks. Each grade is assigned a fixed number of marks out of 100, and your best 8 subjects are summed and scaled to the 1050 total.
| Grade | Marks (out of 100) |
|---|---|
| A* | 90 |
| A | 85 |
| B | 75 |
| C | 65 |
| D | 55 |
| E | 45 |
Example
A student with 8 subjects averaging grade A (85 marks each) would have a total of 680 out of 800, which scales to roughly 893 out of 1050, close to 85% overall.
FAQs
IBCC requires a minimum of 8 O-Level subjects to calculate your SSC (Matric) equivalence, including the compulsory subjects your school requires.
No. This tool gives a mathematical estimate based on the publicly known IBCC grade-to-marks formula. Your official equivalence certificate and exact marks are issued only by IBCC, and can include adjustments this calculator does not account for.
Under the IBCC formula, A* equals 90 marks, A equals 85, B equals 75, C equals 65, D equals 55, and E equals 45, each out of 100.
