How to Check Your Board Result by Roll Number
A simple, board-agnostic guide for 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th class students — where to find your roll number, how to check your result safely, and what to do if something looks wrong.
Where do I find my roll number?
Your roll number is printed on your roll number slip (also called an admit card), which your school or college issues to you before your exams begin — usually a few weeks ahead of the exam date sheet. It's also printed on your exam attendance sheet. If you've lost your slip, your school keeps a record and can confirm your roll number for you.
Step-by-step: checking your result online
- Find your board's official website. Every board that conducts SSC (9th/10th) and HSSC (11th/12th) exams — for example the various BISEs across Punjab, the Federal Board (FBISE) for Islamabad, and the boards covering Sindh, KPK, Balochistan and AJK — publishes results directly on its own official site.
- Go to the "Result" section on the official site once your board has announced that results are live for your class.
- Enter your roll number exactly as printed on your slip, along with your class/exam type (SSC Part 1, SSC Part 2, HSSC Part 1, HSSC Part 2, or equivalent).
- Check your result carefully — subject-wise marks, total marks, and grade should all be visible. Save a screenshot or download the result card if the option is available.
- Use our Percentage Calculator to instantly work out your overall percentage from the marks shown.
Which board covers your area?
Pakistan has multiple regional education boards, each responsible for SSC and HSSC results in its own districts:
- Punjab: separate boards for Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Multan, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur and DG Khan divisions.
- Federal: the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) for Islamabad and federal territory institutions.
- Sindh: boards covering Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur and other divisions.
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: boards covering Peshawar, Abbottabad, Mardan, Swat, Kohat, DI Khan and other divisions.
- Balochistan: the board covering Quetta and surrounding districts.
- Azad Jammu & Kashmir: the AJK board covering Mirpur and the wider region.
Not sure which board your school is affiliated with? Check your roll number slip or admission form — the board name is printed on it.
Frequently asked questions
Contact your school or college — they keep a record of every student's roll number and can confirm it for you. Your board's office can also verify it in person with your CNIC/B-Form.
Some boards support search by name, father's name, or CNIC in addition to roll number, but roll number is the fastest and most reliable method on every board's official result page.
Most boards announce SSC and HSSC results within about two to three months of exams ending, though the exact date is set and announced separately by each board — check your board's official notices closer to the time.
Next step: Once your result is out, use the Percentage Calculator or Grade Calculator to understand your score, or read our Supplementary & Improvement Exams guide if you need a second attempt.
